I just realized we have no concept artwork whatsoever so I decided to make some and a thread for it, too. This is the Veharke concept. Isn't it beautiful? ;D Post any other concept artwork you have here, if you have any.

The tree house and details! And another picture of the Veharke concept, but with material labels... sort of.

That all sounds pretty helpful. You should probably help Maggie, though cause he has less of his project started than the Veharkans.

Hi there. Here's my take on those rooms in the lower right region (all done while waiting for my account activation key ). I'm fully aware that the textures I used aren't anywhere near of what Kithugi requested, but they're sadly the best I could find (maybe Biochemist could create some decent damp stone textures for me). It would be awfully complicated to seperate the "frame" texture from the actual cave texture, so you'd make me very happy if you told me that a single texture is fine. First Version: Second Version with roots and an admittedly crappy layer of "grass", which looks like someone sneezed on the room: And finally, here's the high resolution and therefore ridiculously huge ingame version: ClickFor my next step, I will alter the top layer of this section to actually look grassy and add the pond to the left. After that I'll do the three large trees. I'd be great if someone could tell me what the sky is supposed to look like and what kind of things should be visible in the far background. By the way, modeling this thing in Wings3D raped my soul and stole my innocence forever, so PLEASE don't tell me to do any mayor changes to the basic room layout, unless you want to see me cry I can (and will) add some more details though, like stones and mushrooms.

I think the last two are your best ones. There should be plants and ferns in the background as Veharke is pretty much a huge jungle. Doesn't the sky have to look blue? Unless you want the sky to look like it was back at the time the Earth formed. Biochemist if you're reading this then please tell me of any progress with the Dinoyen background.

So you really just want a regular, earth-like blue sky and generic jungle vegetation? Okay then. I assumed you had something specific in mind.
By the way, how long excactly does it usually take for the activation key to arrive? It's been almost a day now.

if anyone wants to see my work i suggest asking for an email cos a 3000x1200 or something pixel .JPEG isn'y going to fit on a post.
i suggest you do look at it! it isn't exaxtly in 3D but it looks nice all the same, and i have the approval of my younger brother ;D
